Built to James Valentine’s exact specifications, the Valentine incorporates numerous design features to further enhance comfortability, playability, and overall performance.
Both proprietary pickups are wound to James's specifications. The custom staggered single-coil bridge pickup provides excellent high-end clarity and articulation, while the splittable neck humbucking pickup produces a diverse array of warm, rich, and throaty tonalities.
The preamp boost is activated by a push-push volume knob and is factory set to 12 db. Via a trim pot inside the control cavity, the preamp can be adjusted up to 20 dB if needed for heavy rhythm parts or high-octane soloing whenever the user chooses.
The James Valentine signature guitar features a wedge-shaped lightweight double-cutaway ash body that allows for excellent access to all 22 stainless steel frets. Additionally, the roasted maple neck is hand-sanded with a comfortable neck carve for very fast playability.
Hand-selected body and neck woods are sustainably sourced from our network of hardwood suppliers worldwide. Ash and maple are individually chosen and matched for their beautiful appearance and rich tonal qualities.
